Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Shane Hill is seeking STNAs to deliver direct resident care in a long-term care setting. You will support activities of daily living, document care, and escalate resident needs to a licensed nurse while following facility policies.

We offer new wages of $21.00–$24.00 per hour based on experience, with opportunities to earn up to $33.00 per hour. Positions include full-time day or night shifts, plus part-time options and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

STNA certification required to work in Ohio long-term care facilities.
High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA/STNA within 1 year is a plus.
Ability to read, write and understand English; clear verbal and non- verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to residents and assist with activities of daily living.
Document resident activities timely and accurately per policy.
Notify licensed nurse of changes in resident condition promptly.
Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, transfers, and mobility.
Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and facility procedures.

We are looking to hire licensed STNAs to care for our residents with reliable transportation, punctual with attendance.

Job Summary

The nursing assistant (STNA) is responsible for providing direct care to residents, assisting the clinical team in providing activities of daily living for the residents and works under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This person works in accordance with facility policies and procedures and report resident needs to concerns to a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities and major duties

Timely and accurately document all resident related activities in accordance with facility policy.
Ensure timely notification of resident related information, including changes in resident condition (example: weight loss, skin condition changes), to a licensed nurse for further direction.
Successfully assist all responsible residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s). including but not limited to feeding, bathing, dressing, transferring, ambulation, loco motion, personal hygiene, toileting.
Obtain labs/vitals as directed by licensed nurse.
Observe infection control and safety procedures.
Attend and participate in all scheduled staff meetings, educational meeting/in-services and all other meetings related to employment.
Assist with and participate in all resident activities to facilitate a home-like environment for the residents within assigned facility.
Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
Respectfully engage and welcome all visitors, guests and family members within the facility.
Ensure s safe and sanitary living environment for residents.
Adhere to all infection control policies within the assigned facility.
Ensure the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process is followed in accordance to State & Federal Guidelines.
Follow Residents Rights policies at all times.
Adhere to all facility policies & procedures.
Ensure adherence to the Corporate Integrity Program and the Performance Expectations at all times.
Perform other related duties as directed by Director of Nursing and/or person of authority.

Position Qualifications

Education and Experience: Ability to obtain and maintain State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Certification required. High School Diploma/GED preferred. 1 year of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or STNA preferred. Ability to read/write/comprehend the English language in written & verbal form required. Ability to communicated both verbally and non-verbally required.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification

Valid STNA certification to work within a long term care facility within the State of Ohio. Dependable transportation required. CPR certification preferred.

Responsibility for Patient Care

Responsible for promoting independence and assisting all residents with their ADL’s.

Computer

Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail and basic internet usage.

Responsibility for confidential matters

Works regularly with some information such as medical records or reports and records that are restricted to specific persons. Must comply with confidentiality policy.

Environmental and working conditions

May be exposed to heat and cold in all weather conditions. Works regularly under desirable conditions with little or no disagreeable features. Distractions are frequent.

Category 2: Tasks that involve NO exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, but employment may require unplanned Category 1 tasks

Age Group and Abuse Guidelines

Primarily engages with adults and the elderly. Knowledge of the physical, social emotional, and intellectual needs of adults and the elderly will be helpful. This includes being able to detect abuse with regard to state regulations. Follows policy for reporting abuse.
