Job description

Spring Meadows A Villa Center is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant to join their team!! The State Tested Nursing Assistant helps patients/residents with comprehensive and personalized health care needs under the supervision of a nurse in OHIO Assisted Living Facilities. At this facility is a collectively bargained positino under the union.

State Tested Nursing Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides physical support for patients/resident’s daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring to/from bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising.
• Turns and repositions bedridden patients.
• Ensures proper resident/patient diet based on their dietary restrictions.
• Examines patients for open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
• Notes and communicates patient/resident behavior and changes in mood.
• Cleans rooms and bed linens.
• Checks and records vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Answers to patient calls and needs.
• All other duties, as assigned.

State Tested Nursing AssistantQualifications and Skills:

• Good collaboration and teamwork skills with the nursing staff.
• Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.

State Tested Nursing Assistant Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• State Certified Personal Care Assistant License/Certification in Ohio.
• Must be CPR Certified or be able to be certified within 3 months.

Physical Requirements:

• Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.
• Must be able to push, pull move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
