Job summary

The Avenue at Strongsville is seeking caring State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs) for day shifts in our post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility in Strongsville, OH. We offer a new facility with all private rooms, private baths, and private showers.

As an STNA, you will provide hands-on care, assist residents with daily living activities, and contribute to a compassionate, safe environment. Excellent teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program, or be enrolled and complete the program within four months of hire.
• Ability to provide hygiene assistance and daily living support.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene assistance to residents
• Assist residents with feeding and daily living needs
• Perform basic treatments and procedures as directed by the charge nurse
• Observe and report residents’ psycho-social and emotional needs
• Notify the Charge Nurse of any changes in residents’ conditions
• Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance
• Demonstrate respectful and professional behavior toward co-workers and facility contacts
• Use nursing home equipment properly and safely
• Follow OSHA guidelines for handling and storing chemicals and equipment
• Attend required in-service training programs
• Assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Lift up to 50 pounds

• Frequent bending, turning, pushing, and pulling

• Must be able to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively
