• Must have completed an STNA program, or be enrolled and complete within four months of hire.
• Demonstrates ability to provide hygiene assistance and daily living support.

Responsibilities

• Work 12-hour shifts.
• Provide hygiene assistance to residents.
• Assist with feeding and daily living activities.
• Perform basic treatments and procedures as directed by the charge nurse.
• Observe and report residents’ psycho-social and emotional needs.
• Notify the Charge Nurse of changes in residents’ conditions.
• Maintain a clean, neat personal appearance.
• Demonstrate respectful, professional behavior toward staff and residents.
• Safely use nursing home equipment.
• Follow OSHA guidelines for handling chemicals and equipment.
• Attend required in-service training.
• Assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program, or be enrolled and complete the program within four months of hire

Key Responsibilities

• 12 hour shifts

• Provide hygiene assistance to residents

• Assist residents with feeding and daily living needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Lift up to 50 pounds

• Frequent bending, turning, pushing, and pulling

• Use of both hands and arms

• Exposure to odors, body secretions, and excrements

• Potential exposure to behavioral disorders

• Must be able to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively
