Job summary

Avenue at Broadview Heights is seeking caring STNAs to provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents in a post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. You will contribute to a safe, clean, and compassionate environment and assist with daily living activities.

Qualified candidates have completed an STNA program (or are nearing completion) and will work 12-hour shifts in a team-focused, supportive atmosphere at our facility in Broadview Heights, OH.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program or be enrolled and complete within four months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene assistance to residents.
• Assist residents with feeding and daily living needs.
• Observe and report residents' psycho-social and emotional needs.
• Attend required in-service training programs.
• Assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing.

We are looking for caring and dependable individuals to join our team as State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs). Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program, or be enrolled and complete the program within four months of hire

Key Responsibilities:

• 12 hour shifts
• Provide hygiene assistance to residents
• Assist residents with feeding and daily living needs
• Perform basic treatments and procedures as directed by the charge nurse
• Observe and report residents' psycho-social and emotional needs
• Notify the Charge Nurse of any changes in residents' conditions
• Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance
• Demonstrate respectful and professional behavior toward co-workers and facility contacts
• Use nursing home equipment properly and safely
• Follow OSHA guidelines for handling and storing chemicals and equipment
• Attend required in-service training programs
• Assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, turning, pushing, and pulling
• Use of both hands and arms
• Exposure to odors, body secretions, and excrements
• Potential exposure to behavioral disorders
• Must be able to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively
