Job summary

The Avenue at Wooster is seeking caring STNAs to provide hands-on resident care in a post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. You will assist with daily living activities, hygiene, feeding, and safety under the direction of the charge nurse.

Qualifying candidates must have completed or be enrolled in an STNA program. This on-site role offers daily pay options and opportunities to grow with a family-owned facility dedicated to compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program, or be enrolled and complete within four months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene assistance to residents
• Assist residents with feeding and daily living needs
• Perform basic treatments and procedures as directed by the charge nurse
• Observe and report residents’ psycho-social and emotional needs
• Notify the Charge Nurse of any changes in residents’ conditions
• Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance
• Demonstrate respectful and professional behavior toward co-workers and facility contacts
• Use nursing home equipment properly and safely
• Follow OSHA guidelines for handling and storing chemicals and equipment
• Attend required in-service training programs
• Assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, turning, pushing, and pulling
• Use of both hands and arms
• Exposure to odors, body secretions, and excrements

• Must be able to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively
