Job summary

The Avenue at North Ridgeville is seeking caring State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs) to provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents in a post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities include hygiene assistance, feeding support, basic treatments, and reporting changes in residents’ conditions, all while maintaining professionalism and safety in a hotel-like, all-private-suite setting. Equal opportunity employer.

• Perform basic treatments and procedures as directed by the charge nurse
• Observe and report residents’ psycho‑social and emotional needs
• Notify the Charge Nurse of any changes in residents’ conditions
• Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance
• Demonstrate respectful and professional behavior toward co‑workers and facility contacts
• Use nursing home equipment properly and safely
• Follow OSHA guidelines for handling and storing chemicals and equipment
• Attend required in‑service training programs
• Assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, turning, pushing, and pulling
• Use of both hands and arms
• Exposure to odors, body secretions, and excrements
• Potential exposure to behavioral disorders
• Must be able to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively
