Job summary

Allied Universal Security Services is seeking a Security Flex Officer for a State Site in Lowell, MA. The position offers Full Time Flex Hours from 7 a.m.

to 7 p.m., Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday, with weekly pay and paid orientation. The role requires a Massachusetts License to Carry and one year of prior security experience; duties include patrols, access control, incident reporting, and assisting staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• As a condition of employment, a drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Operate radio/console equipment and communicate with the public.
• Strong oral and written communication; active listening and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department when needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of items.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.
