Job summary

Allied Universal Security Services is seeking to fill the position of a Security Armed Flex Officer in Boston, MA. This full-time role offers flexibility with hours Monday through Friday, including weekends, and a starting rate of $26.50 per hour with paid orientation.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or 5 years verifiable experience, MA License to Carry, and be 21+. Responsibilities include armed patrols, incident reporting, customer assistance, and emergency notifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• Valid driver’s license if operating company or customer vehicles.
• Background investigation required by law; criminal history considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/console equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Active listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly; material issues identified.
• Mediating conflicts with tact and diplomacy.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform armed security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, forbidden articles).
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect property and ensure authorized removal.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and incidents; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
