State Reporting Manager – Staff Reporting

Position Overview

The Staff State Reporting Manager is responsible for leading the design and execution of the staff state reporting program across four states at IDEA Public Schools. The Manager ensures the accuracy and integrity of staff data within Tyler Munis ERP across all states. They will design, implement, and improve processes, systems, and internal reporting to empower stakeholders in managing state reporting data. The Manager reports to the Director of State Reporting.

Location

This is a full-time position with remote or in-person options based in Texas, with some travel within Texas and other IDEA regions such as Florida and Ohio. Preference will be given to candidates in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, Tarrant County, or those willing to relocate.

Essential Duties

What You’ll Do – Accountabilities

• Design and implement a reporting program to ensure 100% staff data accuracy and on-time submission to all state agencies.
• Collaborate with various departments to design and update staff data structures, easing reporting burdens.
• Lead discovery of state reporting requirements across four states, reviewing documentation, attending meetings, and working with legal counsel.
• Work with stakeholders to review and improve data processes, procedures, and tools.
• Maintain documentation aligned with current state regulations across all states.
• Manage data submissions for PEIMS (TX), PEP (LA), MIS (FL), and EMIS (OH), including staff identifiers and reports.
• Serve as an expert on internal and external applications supporting state reporting, such as Tyler Munis, Frontline, Cornerstone, TSDS, and DQ2.
• Develop and maintain staff identifiers for all states.
• Review and improve reporting processes for efficiency.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports and data.
• Create data imports from agencies like TEA, LDOE, FLDOE, and Ohio reporting entities.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure reporting efficiency and effectiveness.

Drive 100% Data Integrity

• Develop dashboards using Power BI to visualize staff reportable data.
• Pursue automation for reporting and dashboards.
• Design and implement audit programs to assess compliance and risk.
• Provide relevant reports and data to stakeholders.
• Maintain user-friendly dashboards and continuously improve them.

Develop and Maintain Documentation

• Organize projects and ensure documentation is accessible.
• Create a centralized repository for all reporting documentation.
• Develop project plans with timelines and responsibilities.
• Monitor progress and communicate updates.

Customer Service

• Communicate with staff, leaders, and external agencies regarding staff data and directives.
• Promote a culture of analytics and accountability.
• Support leaders with office hours and townhalls to address data concerns.

What You Bring

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
• 5+ years in data management, reporting, and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Tyler Munis, Power BI, and similar tools.

What We Offer

Compensation & Benefits:

Salaries typically range from $74,700 to $87,100, based on experience. Performance pay, health plans, insurance, parental benefits, flexible spending, vacation, bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan are included. More info at IDEA Benefits. Relocation stipends may be available.
