Qualifications

• State minimum requirements include a high school diploma and experience performing patrol or investigative duties with a public law enforcement agency.
• Agency minimum requirements: high school diploma, US citizen and 21+, SC resident with SC driver’s license, ability to perform all essential/marginal functions.
• Extensive background check required including credit, criminal history, driving record, drug history, polygraph, urinalysis and employer contacts.
• Applicants must meet any additional listed requirements to be considered for the position.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and/or detect violations and maintain order.
• Enforce state statutes and regulations; exercise arrest powers and testify in court.
• Investigate disturbances and complete reports and documents.
• Disseminate information timely and maintain security of properties per statutes.
