The South Carolina Highway Patrol is hiring full-time troopers to enforce vehicle and criminal laws across state highways and to investigate traffic collisions. You will also serve as a witness in criminal and civil courts and maintain enforcement reports for public information.

Applicants must complete required training, pass extensive background checks, and meet physical fitness standards. In-state candidates must graduate from the SC Criminal Justice Academy as Class One Certified Officers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree may substitute for experience.
• Must have graduated from the SC Criminal Justice Academy as Class One Certified Officer (in-state).
• Out-of-state applicants must have completed basic law enforcement training and POST documentation.
