Job summary

The Pew Charitable Trusts is seeking a Senior Associate, State Policy, Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Initiative. You will lead state policy engagements, conduct policy analysis, and facilitate stakeholder meetings to expand access to evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder.

Based in Washington, DC with a hybrid work arrangement, you will collaborate across Pew departments to develop policy memos, issue briefs, and advocacy materials for policymakers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Four years of applicable policy or health-related experience.
• Experience in substance use disorders or related policy research preferred.
• Experience writing and editing policy reports, briefs, and web content.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Foster excellence, transparency, trust, and collaboration within Pew's environment.
• Lead state policy engagements informing legislation through research and analysis.
• Represent Pew in state advocacy activities and develop advocacy materials.
• Plan stakeholder meetings, panels, webinars, and conferences to inform policy.
• Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for timely access to medications for opioid use disorder.
• Coordinate with other Pew departments and staff to support state policy engagements.
• Contribute to project tasks and Pew-wide objectives as needed.
