Job summary

Dow seeks a State Government Affairs Director in Austin, TX to lead integrated state government affairs and advocacy, advancing Dow's business objectives and license to operate. You will anticipate legislative developments, translate complex issues into strategic actions, and influence senior leaders and diverse stakeholders with credibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience required.
• 10+ years in public policy or government advocacy.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute state government affairs strategies aligned with Dow's priorities.
• Advise leaders on policy developments and translate risks into business actions.
• Represent Dow before state legislatures and regulatory bodies.
• Build networks with policymakers and stakeholders to shape outcomes.
• Coordinate advocacy across sites, trade associations, and NGOs.
• Lead strategic advocacy on legislative, regulatory, and political issues.
• Prepare briefs for executives and coordinate cross-functional teams.
