Job summary

Vermont State Parks seeks a Marketing and Communications Manager to lead external relations and statewide communications from the department's Montpelier headquarters. The role oversees marketing planning, public and media relations, and customer services across the Vermont State Parks system.

The manager will develop promotions, establish partnerships, direct the reservation call center, and support seasonal recruitment, ensuring strong customer experiences and coordinated messaging nationwide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with 3 years marketing/communications experience, or Associate's degree with 5 years
• Experience in marketing, advertisement, media communications, or public relations
• Ability to travel statewide with private transportation available
• Strategic planning and external relations management experience
• Customer service and sales program coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Lead external relations and communications for Vermont State Parks, overseeing marketing, public relations, media relations and customer services statewide from department headquarters in Montpelier
• Manage marketing planning, develop promotional materials and partnerships
• Direct the state parks reservation call center
• Support seasonal workforce recruitment across the Vermont State Parks system
