Job summary

Virginia State Parks is seeking an Administrative & Office Specialist I at Kiptopeke State Park to support daily office operations and guest services. This role focuses on accurate record-keeping and friendly customer assistance.

You will perform clerical duties including cash handling, use of a computer, copier and radio equipment, and you must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends. This position offers state benefits and a path for growth within Virginia's State Parks.

Job Summary

The Contract Ranger position is designed to provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure smooth functioning of the office. This role focuses on facilitating day-to-day administrative activities, managing office operations, and assisting various teams to enhance overall productivity, while providing great customer service to all guests.

Special Instructions

• Background Check: Employment in all Virginia State Parks positions is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a criminal history background check.

• Driver’s License Requirement: A valid State Driver's License is required if operating a state or personal vehicle for agency business.
• Work Requirements: Wage/seasonal positions are not eligible for benefits and are limited to 1,500 hours from May 1 to April 30.
