North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources seeks a Park Manager to oversee Lake Waccamaw State Park. You will supervise staff, plan budgets, and guide interpretation, environmental education, and resource management efforts.

Responsibilities include ensuring public safety, coordinating with local agencies, and delivering engaging programs and events while managing park operations and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation and/or Natural Science from an accredited institution.
• Four years of experience in the area of assignment, including supervisory duties.
• Certification as a Law Enforcement Officer as specified by the NC standards.

Responsabilités

• Manage Lake Waccamaw State Park and supervise staff in interpretation, education, and resource management.
• Oversee budget, hiring, training, and policy development for park operations.
• Coordinate public safety, enforcement, and emergency response within the park.
• Plan and deliver interpretive programs and community engagement activities.
• Lead special events and collaborate with local governments and partners.
• Direct recruitment, development, and evaluation of park personnel.
