Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of experience or training in building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance.
• Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Makes general repairs to buildings, interiors, exteriors, furniture, fixtures, air conditioners, heating systems, and other mechanical and related fields such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting tasks.
• Maintains and repairs motorized equipment, tunes up parts, and assesses damage for repairs.
• Operates and checks safety and maintenance of a wide variety of hand tools and vehicles.
• Repairs and treats structures such as floors, showers, sinks, walls, roofs, and carpets.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance for machines and building systems.
• Assists with custodial duties to keep facilities clean and sanitary.
• Maintains grounds and trails, including trimming trees and road maintenance.

Education
