Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a State and Local Tax Associate in Austin, TX to work on complex tax matters across industries and jurisdictions in collaboration with a cross-office team.

The role requires 3–5 years of SLT experience, a JD from an accredited law school, and admission to practice in Texas. You will advise on state taxes, planning, and transactional analysis while supporting clients and senior attorneys.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of dedicated State and Local Tax experience.
• Experience with corporate income, franchise, sales and use tax.
• Strong research and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support clients on corporate income and franchise tax matters.
• Advise on sales and use tax, property tax, and payroll tax issues.
• Assist with personal income tax and audit defense.
• Engage in tax planning, structuring, and transactional analysis.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on multi-state tax projects.
