Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a State and Local Tax Associate in Baltimore, MD to handle complex tax matters across multiple industries and jurisdictions. You will work with a cross-office team to deliver strategic client solutions.

The role requires 3–5 years of S&L tax experience and a JD from an accredited law school, with opportunities to engage in tax planning and transactional analysis while collaborating with partners and senior attorneys.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of State & Local Tax experience.
• Experience with corporate income, franchise, sales, and property tax.
• Exposure to controversy or litigation is a plus.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across offices and disciplines.
• JD degree from an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Support clients on corporate income and franchise tax matters.
• Advise on sales and use tax, property tax, and payroll tax issues.
• Assist with personal income tax and audit defense.
• Engage in tax planning, structuring, and transactional analysis.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on multi-state tax projects.
