Cherry Bekaert is seeking an administrative professional for its State & Local Tax team in Atlanta, GA. You will support tax professionals with data entry, data gathering, and client correspondence while leveraging Excel to manipulate data sets and manage client records.

The role requires researching state tax statutes and regulations, verifying accuracy, and collaborating with clients via on-site meetings or video calls. A bachelor’s in accounting and ability to work overtime are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting
• Ability to work overtime during peak seasons
• Ability to work in a team environment

• Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills

• Stellar interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required

Responsibilities

• Work directly with tax professionals on a wide variety of projects, including data entry in Excel, copying client records, organizing data files, completing forms, sending and managing receipt of correspondence with State tax agencies, and various other client-related administrative tasks
• Gather, manipulate, and analyze data
• Participate in research of state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings
• Thoroughly verify work for completeness and accuracy
• Interact with clients via on‑site meetings, video calls, and project status reports
