Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is expanding its State & Local Tax team in Atlanta, GA, to deliver superior sales tax advisory services for clients. The role emphasizes data entry in Excel, data analysis, and timely administrative support within a deadline-driven environment.

You will collaborate with tax professionals, handle client communications, and contribute to research of state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings while ensuring accuracy and quality across assignments.

Qualifications

• Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting
• Ability to work overtime during peak seasons
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Access experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Work directly with tax professionals on a wide variety of projects, including data entry in Excel, copying client records, organizing data files, completing forms, sending and managing receipt of correspondence with State tax agencies, and various other client-related administrative tasks
• Gather, manipulate, and analyze data
• Participate in research of state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings
• Thoroughly verify work for completeness and accuracy
• Interact with clients via on-site meetings, video calls, and project status reports
