Job summary

Intuit is seeking a strategic leader to develop and manage a state-level government relations team focused on Southern/Southeast states and DC. You will shape policy, influence legislation, and manage in-state consultants to advance Intuit’s business objectives and product priorities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in multi-state government or state policy roles with DC/Southern states focus.
• Experience in technology industry policy, coalition building, and industry trade associations.
• Strong understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes and political/public policy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead state and local government relations for about 15 states.
• Manage contract lobbyists, strengthen coalitions, and drive grassroots initiatives.
• Shape and influence state legislation aligning with Intuit's policy priorities and business goals.
• Advance state-level advocacy to support Intuit's products and business development.
• Direct in-state consultants and collaborate with trade associations.
• Engage with Global Corporate Affairs and Public Policy teams and legal partners to influence legislation.
• Ensure compliance with Intuit's Code of Conduct and lobbying regulations.
• Build relationships with state agency leadership and third parties.
• Monitor priority bills and issues affecting Intuit and its customers.
• Develop analyses and strategic assessments on regulations and policy issues.
• Participate in trade association meetings and grow networks for policy priorities.
