Job summary

Intuit seeks a strategic leader to build and head a state-level government relations team, guiding public policy initiatives across Southern/Southeast states. You will shape legislative priorities, manage partnerships with trade associations, and advance the company’s policy agenda to support product delivery.

You will collaborate with Global Corporate Affairs and legal partners, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while driving business opportunities and stakeholder support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in multi-state government or state policy roles.
• Experience in technology industry public policy.
• Strong understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes.
• Familiarity with Intuit products (QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mailchimp, Credit Karma).

Responsibilities

• Lead advocacy and relationship-building with elected officials across approximately 15 states.
• Manage contract lobbyists and state coalitions; drive grassroots initiatives.
• Shape state legislation to align with Intuit's priorities and business objectives.
• Collaborate with legal partners and business units on policy issues to create opportunities and mitigate challenges.
• Ensure compliance with ethics and lobbying regulations and Intuit's codes of conduct.
