Job summary

Intuit is seeking a strategic leader to develop and manage a state-level government relations team. The role focuses on all state government relations and public policy initiatives, applying critical analysis to regulatory environments and business needs.

Expect focus on Southern/Southeast states and collaboration with cross-functional partners. The candidate will lead advocacy across ~15 states, manage contractors, and shape policy priorities to align with Intuit’s products and business goals,

Qualifications

• 7+ years in multi-state government affairs or policy roles with focus on the DC and Southern states.
• Experience in technology industry public policy, advocacy and coalitions.
• Strong understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes.
• Familiarity with Intuit products like QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mailchimp, Credit Karma.

Responsibilities

• Lead advocacy and relationship-building with elected officials across about 15 states.
• Manage contract lobbyists, strengthen coalitions, and drive grassroots initiatives.
• Shape and influence state legislation impacting Intuit; advance policy priorities with business objectives.
• Collaborate with Global Corporate Affairs and other partners to ensure aligned outcomes.
• Monitor priority bills, develop analyses, and build third-party networks for advocacy.
