Progressive regonal CPA firm is seeking an Audit Manager with a State and Local Government specialization. This role offers a fast track to Director/Partnership and a reasonable work-life balance in a hybrid work environment with relocation assistance available.

The Manager acts as liaison between Partner, clients, and staff, supervising multiple audit engagements, coordinating workflow, and leading staff development while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
At least five years of experience in public accounting - specifically in the public sector, including auditing state and local governments (i.e., cities, counties, special districts, charter schools, etc.)
Holds a current and valid CPA license.

Responsabilités

Manage all phases of an audit or review engagement on multiple engagements at one time.
Maintain contact with clients throughout the year; develop knowledge of client operations and controls.
Advise and report to Director/Partner on important developments and issues on client accounts.
Lead, train, supervise and review work of staff; participate in performance evaluations.
Manage budgets and engagement scope; coordinate scheduling and staffing.
Participate in business development efforts and client relationship management.
