Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking an Audit Director in Albany, OR with a State & Local Government specialization. The role offers a fast track to partnership in a progressive regional CPA firm, with a hybrid work environment and relocation assistance available.

The Director liaises between partners, clients, and staff, manages multiple audits and engagements, develops staff, trains teams, and drives new business while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of experience in public accounting.
• CPA license is required.
• Ability to travel to client and firm locations.
• Experience auditing state and local governments (cities, counties, districts).
• Experience with GAAS, GAGAS/Yellow Book, and the Uniform Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains contact with clients and understands their operations and controls.
• May serve as engagement partner or report to the engagement partner.
• Signs attest opinions as engagement partner when assigned.
• Oversees all phases of engagements and ensures deliverables meet standards and policy.
• Advises the engagement Partner on developments and issues and resolves them.
• Ensures engagements are properly scheduled and staffed.
• Acts as subject matter expert for governmental sectors.
• Oversees billing and collections by the engagement teams.
• Supervises staff and reviews work papers and reports.
• Participates in staff performance evaluations and coaching.
• Contributes to staff recruitment and candidate interviews.
• Leads business development efforts and builds client networks.
