Job summary

The Director serves as the liaison between the Partner, the client, and the professional staff, managing multiple audits and client engagements, and coordinating engagement workflow.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years' experience in public accounting with at least 2 years in a senior manager role.
• Significant experience auditing state and local governments (cities, counties, districts).
• CPA license and willingness to travel to client and firm locations.
• Experience with GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS and the Uniform Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain contact with clients and oversee multiple audits and engagements.
• Lead engagement partner role or report to the engagement partner as required.
• Sign attest opinions when assigned and supervise work products.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and engagement workflow across engagements.
• Provide staff training and participate in performance evaluations.
• Lead business development and prospective client meetings.
• Ensure billing and collections align with firm policy.
• Travel to client sites and firm offices as needed.
