Markent Personnel is seeking an Audit Director for a progressive regional CPA firm with a government focus. The role offers a fast track to Partnership, a balanced schedule, and relocation assistance, with hybrid work arrangements.

The candidate will lead engagements, supervise staff, and drive new business while ensuring compliance with GAAS, GAGAS, and Uniform Guidance in government audits.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree required with CPA preferred.
• Extensive public accounting experience in government audits.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple engagements and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintains contact with clients throughout the year and builds relationships.
• Leads or reports to engagement partner on engagements per firm policies.
• Signs attest opinions when serving as engagement partner.
• Oversees all engagement phases and ensures compliance with GAAS/GAAP and policy.
• Mentions important developments to engagement Partner and resolves issues.
• Acts as SME for governmental sector and leads recruitment and business development.
