The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) seeks a Director of State & Local Affairs to lead government affairs and public policy strategies across the United States. The role develops and executes state and local legislative strategies to advance AHLA priorities through proactive advocacy campaigns, coalition engagement, and stakeholder mobilization.

Ideal candidates are strategic advocates with experience in state/local government affairs, political campaigns, or public policy.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in political science, public policy, communications, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years in state/local government affairs, public policy, advocacy, or campaigns.
• Experience developing legislative advocacy initiatives and issue campaigns.
• Experience building coalitions with diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding of state/local legislative processes and political environments.
