Job summary

Reading Horizons seeks a Manager of State Lists and Adoptions to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of state instructional materials submissions from preparation through final review.

You will build scalable processes, partner with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality evidence packages support state adoption efforts. Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience with K-12 instructional materials review or adoption processes is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with structured literacy and evidence-based literacy instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of state instructional materials submissions from preparation through final review.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate contributors, manage timelines, and ensure high-quality evidence packages are submitted on time.
  • Partner with senior leadership to execute state priorities and adoption strategies.
  • Develop expertise in state literacy requirements and evaluation rubrics.
  • Coordinate responses throughout the review process and maintain documentation and communications.
