Job summary

CAI is seeking a Director of Business Development for State Government to lead growth strategy and pursue state agency opportunities across the division. Remote work is supported with EST/CST alignment and travel to client sites.

You will own market analysis, qualifications, and bid leadership, shaping proposals with cross-functional teams and engaging senior government stakeholders to win work in education, transportation, and health sectors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in State Government professional services sales or related roles.
• Experience with NASPO, Sourcewell and RFx cycles.
• Strong proposal writing and bid management skills.
• Proven ability to build long-term agency relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead market analysis and capture planning for state government opportunities.
• Develop and manage State Government pipeline with target agencies.
• Direct pre-sales activities, client outreach, and RFP responses.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including SMEs, pricing, and legal.
• Represent CAI at industry events and executive briefings.
