Job summary

Modivcare seeks a Government Affairs Director to lead state-level strategy across Central and Southeast regions. You will be the face of the company before state legislatures, Medicaid agencies, and executive offices, guiding engagement, policy monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration to protect and grow market position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree in public policy, public administration, law, or related field preferred.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate with multiple internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead state-level legislative and regulatory engagement, including direct lobbying and coordination with contract lobbyists.
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret legislative and regulatory activity; communicate risks and opportunities to leadership.
• Prepare testimony, letters, briefs, and executive talking points for hearings and regulatory proceedings.
• Travel up to 60% to engage with policymakers, agencies, and field offices.
• Collaborate with Sales, Business Development, Operations, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing to align policy objectives with enterprise priorities.
