Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Five years of professional level related experience in government relations or public policy.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Responsibilities

  • Represent leadership in key policy making debates, prioritizing healthcare programs with state funds support.
  • Support strategic planning of Johns Hopkins legislative priorities with leadership and senior staff.
  • Identify state funding opportunities for Johns Hopkins entities and services to the public.
  • Inform leadership on legislative issues and develop actions to implement Johns Hopkins position.
  • Assist in providing leadership an assessment of the political arena and recommendations on Johns Hopkins position.
