Job summary

SpringHealth Behavioral Health & Integrated Care in Georgia seeks a State Director to lead operations, elevate clinical quality, and empower teams statewide. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of programs and services.

You will oversee budgets, compliance, recruitment, and growth initiatives while maintaining a clinically driven, people-first culture that delivers measurable outcomes for individuals and families served.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) licensed in Georgia or licensed psychologist.
  • Experience with behavioral intervention and/or a strong educational emphasis on learning and developmental psychology.
  • Five or more years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behaviorally challenged populations.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role providing staff direction and training as well as program development and oversight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Have a working knowledge of all funding sources for all service sites throughout the state.
  • Knowledge of funding source regulations and specifications.
  • Participate in the development of the annual operating and capital budget for the state.
  • Ensure 100% implementation of all company accounting policies.
  • Ensure all sites develop and fully implement a targeted recruitment and retention plan.
  • Ensure all Human Resource and training policies are implemented which includes ensuring that each employee has a complete chart with all state, federal, and program required training and documents.
  • Hire, supervise, reward, discipline and evaluate all direct reports timely and effectively.
  • Ensure all service sites are in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in all audits and reviews conducted by external sources.
  • Develop a written internal growth plan for the state.
  • Oversee new business opportunities and development throughout the state.
  • Develop and maintain contact with state and regional waiver staff, support coordinator/case management entities, waiver providers, etc.
  • Work with business analysts and others to ensure month end close in complete.
  • Ensure client charts are complete and meet state and federal requirements.
  • Will keep clinical skills sharp by keeping an agreed upon caseload of customers.
  • Responsible for mandatory reporting of the state incident reports, complete follow‑up to ensure timely closure of incidents reported.
  • Other duties as assigned
