Summit Place Kia East in Michigan seeks a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service vehicles including cars and small SUVs. You do not need prior Kia training; state certification and a valid driver's license are required, with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an automotive technician or recent completion of automotive tech/trade school with certifications.
• State certifications required.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Team oriented with focus on customer service.
• Knowledge of shop equipment and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicle to determine if additional or safety work is required beyond the work order.
• Facilitate customer needs according to management.
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
• Understand and follow Federal, State and Local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
