Job summary

Summit Place Kia East in Michigan seeks a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service vehicles including cars and small SUVs. You do not need prior Kia training; state certification and a valid driver's license are required, with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, coordinating with parts, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Benefits include health, life, retirement and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an automotive technician or recent completion of automotive tech/trade school with certifications.
• State certifications required.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Team oriented with focus on customer service.
• Knowledge of shop equipment and diagnostic tools.

• Facilitate customer needs according to management
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts
• Understanding and following Federal, State and Local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an automotive technician (automotive mechanic) or recent completion of automotive tech/trade school with certifications
• State certifications
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
