Job summary

265 DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION is seeking an Assistant Program Manager, State Aid in Oklahoma City, to lead the State Aid section and oversee interpretation of the state aid formula, disbursement of funds, and related reporting. This in-person role requires presence at the Oliver Hodge Education Building in Oklahoma City and does not offer remote options.

The position requires a deep understanding of state aid factors, legislative processes, and the ability to communicate complex information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; transcripts upon hire.
  • Three years experience interpreting complex funding formulas and explaining calculations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing budgets, work programs, and quarterly allotments with accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and explain changes to the state aid formula to superintendents, administrators, legislators, and staff.
  • Direct the State Aid section, coordinate with other divisions, and oversee report preparation for the legislature and stakeholders.
  • Oversee budgeting, annual Budget Request, Budget Work Program, and quarterly allotments.
  • Direct attendance audits and statistical analyses of district data and share of state aid.
