Job description

Our client, a global manufacturer of precision sheet-metal products, has an immediate need for an experienced Start-up Engineer, to join their winning team in Akron.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will adjust the systems, set the parameters, and install and configure the control software.
• You will ensure the machine can run flawlessly during trial operations.
• You will become a specialist in your field and provide support to our service engineers at the customer site in special situations.
• Internally, as a Start-up Engineer, you will be the go-to person who knows the machine inside and out. Colleagues will come to you for questions and help. In short, you will ensure that the machine is of top quality

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• You hold a bachelor’s, preferably in Electromechanics or Electronics, or equivalent experience.
• You have a good knowledge of mechanics, electricity, or electronics.
• Experience in or knowledge of machine controls, software, hydraulics, and pneumatics is an advantage.
• You are highly analytical and results oriented.
• You enjoy applying your acquired knowledge in the field and learning and testing the latest technologies daily.
