Starting immediately, the position involves classroom assistance, behavior support, and collaboration with school staff. Wage is based on an hourly rate, with non-exempt hours and a 9‑month calendar.

Qualifications

• Education/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must have 48 college hours or qualifying score on Master Teacher Online Exam within the first 90 days of employment, and 20 hours per year of in-service training are required.
• All para educator positions are non-exempt, at-will positions.

Responsibilities

• Adapts and provides accommodations of classroom activities under the direction of the teacher.
• Aids students in and out of classroom and supports student needs.
• Assists students requiring supports with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Participates in trainings to stay current with instructional strategies and disability education.
• Collaborates with staff to support student progress as outlined in IEPs.
