Job summary

Easterseals Southern California, Inc. seeks a dedicated START Coordinator to provide comprehensive case management, crisis support, and coordination of care using the START service model.

This role involves supporting individuals at risk and collaborating with the START leadership team to ensure high-quality services. The position requires leadership in training Therapeutic Coaches, triage of crises, and adherence to NCSS and ESSC protocols.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or human service field.
• 2 years of professional experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and current research findings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to travel locally and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management, crisis support, coordination of care using the START service model.
• Train and supervise Therapeutic Coaches and staff on de-escalation and intervention strategies.
• Lead community trainings and internal ESSC START team meetings.
• Maintain an active caseload and participate in START Coordinator certification training.
• Complete required data entry and participate in ESSC National network activities.
