RHA Health Services is hiring a START Coordinator to support individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs in Brunswick County, NC and surrounding areas.

You'll work as part of the START Program, coordinating crisis plans, case management, and training for families and stakeholders, with travel as required. A social work or related degree is required; 2+ years' experience is preferred, and CPR/first aid certification is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, social services, human services or special education; Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 2 years experience with persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities; 1-year if Master’s degree.
• Must meet requirements for both Qualified Developmental Disability Professional and Qualified Mental Health Professional. Must have direct support experience supporting individuals with mental health and developmental disability diagnosis. Must have experience with crisis management and crisis counseling.
• Valid driver’s license
• CPR, first aid, NCI certification and others that may be specified and/or required by future company regulations. Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.
• Ability to Travel

Serves as the primary contact supporting individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health challenges for the START Program (Systematic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resource, and Treatment) to provide community based intervention and prevention services to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health care needs. The program relies on integrated care and treatment with collaboration among all team members. The services in the START Program include collaborative contacts, after hour contacts, emergency team meetings, planned respite and emergency respite.

Annual Salary: $56,000

Responsibilities:

• Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.

• Positions that require driving Proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
