Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a TEST ENGINEER (STARSHIP) to own initial system testing of the Starship Vehicle. You will develop procedures and tools for integrated checkouts, troubleshoot hardware, and coordinate with design, build, and production teams to accelerate production and launch cadence.

The role requires hands-on engineering in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include defining test criteria, developing validation processes, and leading training to build in-house test capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required.
  • 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% and work various shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Build understanding of vehicle avionics/propulsion as an integrated system.
  • Establish test criteria and pass/fail requirements for integrated checkouts.
  • Develop procedures for validation of evolving spacecraft.
  • Identify improvements for testing efficiency and safety.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues in real time and route feedback.
  • Interface with design, build, and systems engineering teams and production leadership.
  • Lead training to build test execution capability across teams.
  • Contribute to GSE projects enabling checkouts and production rate.
  • Help design Starship production processes to maximize efficiency.
