Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Propulsion Technician (Starship) to assemble and test rocket hardware. This role requires solid mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to work autonomously on safety-critical systems.

Responsibilities include maintaining tools and subassemblies, staging and testing for Starship/Super-Heavy propulsion, and strict adherence to procedures. ITAR and safety expectations apply; candidates must meet physical requirements and be able to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A&P license or ASE Master certification strongly desired.
• 5+ years mechanical or similar experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fluid systems, pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices; mechanical and electrical systems; propulsion systems.
• Strong mathematical, computer, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, meet schedules, and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and neat work area; manage tools, valves, tubes, and manifolds for advanced subassemblies.
• Stage, build, test, install, and proof production subassemblies for Starship/Super-Heavy propulsion.
• Verify fluids and electrical connections using diagrams for propulsion systems.
• Perform testing and operate testing equipment for pressurized checkouts; use network systems and follow test instructions.
• Accept or reject test units based on defined criteria; document and coordinate with engineering to resolve non-conformances.
• Perform work according to procedures, specifications and test instructions.
• Set up and operate CNC rotary draw bending machines within tight tolerances.
• Set up and operate CNC tube cutting equipment.
