Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Manager, Materials Management - Starship, to lead a multi-shift team responsible for inventory, distribution, and fulfillment across campus. The role focuses on strategy, cost reduction, and process improvements in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and a track record of driving continuous improvement while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols on site in Hawthorne, CA.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 3+ years in planning, purchasing, distribution, or supply chain management; or 5+ years with the same fields; or 9+ years in the listed areas.
• Deep knowledge of material cost control, master production scheduling, and production planning.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; APICS CPIM/CSCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review timecards, schedules, and provide mentoring and training to direct reports.
• Support fulfillment, distribution, and storage targets with continuous improvement.
• Develop strategy, set metrics, and guide organization to achieve goals.
• Lead multi-level teams across 5 shifts, ensuring safety and quality with AS9100 alignment.
• Drive cost reductions, inventory accuracy, and process improvements.
