Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Inventory Specialist (Starship) to manage daily inventory operations in the Brownsville fulfillment center. You will oversee backlogs, re-allocate resources, and mentor staff while ensuring accurate material handling and timely kit assembly.

Responsibilities include coordinating with production coordinators, maintaining stock rotation, and interfacing with multiple departments to resolve issues impacting receipt and distribution of materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 6+ months as SpaceX technician OR 1+ years of experience in an outside production/operations environment.
• Experience operating a forklift and other related inventory equipment.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support daily/weekly team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
• Oversee daily shift backlogs and ensure compliance with targets.
• Re-assign resources to meet demands and monitor performance metrics.
• Act as focal point for area group production coordinators and priorities.
• Handle material receive, storage, and issuing to support shop operations.
• Perform picking to assemble kits and ensure parts are available and accounted for.
• Maintain material handling practices and proper stock rotation.
• Interface with other FCs and related departments to resolve receipt and distribution issues.
