Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Manager, Materials Management to lead material flow for Starship production at Starbase, TX. The role focuses on inventory accuracy, continuous improvement, and safe operations to support rocket manufacturing.

You will manage receiving, storing, issuing, and FIFO rotation, while driving cost savings and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and ITAR. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in material planning, purchasing, distribution, operations or related fields.
• Or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in these areas.
• Or 9+ years of experience in one or more of these areas.
• 3+ years of personnel management experience with direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties including project implementation, oversight, mentoring, training, customer alignment, system compliance, supply ordering, and area upkeep.
• Support and maintain data driven goals for receipt, stow, pick, pack, and final mile delivery to work centers within their network.
• Develop strategy, metrics, and goals to guide execution.
• Lead by setting an example, motivate organization to achieve high results.
• Monitor and improve operations ensuring a safe work environment with goal of zero OSHA recordables.
• Ensure practices meet AS9100 and customer flow-down requirements.
• Manage incoming acceptance, storing, and issuing of materials, tooling, and customer property.
• Provide industry leading customer service across operations.
• Lead cost-saving opportunities and optimization.
• Maintain process control and routine counting for audits.
• Drive projects to improve efficiency in a dynamic environment.
• Monitor shelf-life and FIFO rotation.
• Ensure environmental controls and material requirements are maintained.
• Develop workforce by challenging and motivating team members.
