Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Supervisor, Materials Management (Starship) to lead day-to-day logistics for Starbase, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and distribution of materials for rocket builds.

The role requires building a high-performance team, implementing best practices, and coordinating across departments to meet campaign timelines. Prior aerospace experience and CPIM/CSCP or Lean certification are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing; or 4+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing in lieu of a degree.
• APICS certification – CPIM or CSCP preferred.
• Lean/6-Sigma experience (Green/Black Belt) preferred.
• Excellent communication and team-building skills.
• Experience in aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing environment.
• Hazmat certification and knowledge of 49CFR/IATA transport guidelines.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of Materials Management and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement best logistics and inventory practices including transportation, kitting, and work order management.
• Support metrics goals for Production Coordinator and Inventory teams.
• Conduct regular safety walkthroughs and enforce safety policies.
• Coordinate with Shipping, Receiving, Quality Control, Transportation, Planning, and Purchasing to resolve issues.
• Lead audits and ensure organized work areas and efficient processes.
