Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Welder for night shifts to support starship launch hardware. Responsibilities include welding with FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW on carbon, stainless, and aluminum parts, fabricating weldments, and coordinating with the lead welder to ensure correct procedures and material specs.

Applicants should have 5+ years of GTAW and FCAW experience, and hold or be willing to obtain relevant AWS/ASME qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of professional experience in GTAW welding with SCH 10 stainless steel pipe or SCH 10 carbon steel pipe.
• 5+ years of professional experience in FCAW welding with stainless steel or carbon steel.
• Qualifications in accordance with AWS D1.1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.6, AWS D17.1, or ASME Section IX preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weld using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW on carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum shapes, tubing and piping.
• Cut, trim and fabricate weldments to dimensions for building and assembling using standard tools and practices.
• Collaborate with lead welder to ensure proper weld procedure and material specifications are followed.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations where procedures are unavailable.
• Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and support efficient work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
