Job summary

SpaceX in Cape Canaveral, FL is seeking a Data & Control Systems Technician (Starship Launch Hardware) at Levels 4/5 to maintain and install electrical distribution, data acquisition, and PLC based manufacturing hardware. You will build cable assemblies, terminate wiring, and troubleshoot systems in a high‑tempo launch environment.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial controls or instrumentation, an associate degree in a technical field, and the ability to pass background checks and work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with industrial controls or instrumentation in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate degree in aerospace technology or another technical field is preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9000, IPC-620, and ICP-610 standards is desirable.
• Quality inspection experience with harnessing and cables is a plus.
• Ability to design and fabricate simple electrical circuits and to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate wiring to pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Install connectors, pins, terminals and lugs.
• Perform continuity checks and locate wiring errors using measuring instruments.
• Build, terminate, troubleshoot and maintain PLC based manufacturing hardware.
• Fabricate support structures, enclosures and conveyances for electrical distribution equipment.
• Lead complex projects with minimal oversight.
